A Championship Effort by Dartmouth Triathlon

For a student-run club, the logistics involved in getting eleven people and their gear from Hanover, New Hampshire to Mission Viejo, California is intricate and nuanced. Sydney Savarese '25, the team's race planner, spearheaded the effort. Here is Sydney's take on the herculean effort, "Planning a cross-country race like this was definitely a bit of unchartered territory for our team. There's a lot of technical protocols in terms of qualifications/eligibility that we had to navigate with the race director to ensure everyone was eligible to race.

2023-2024 Club Sport National Championship Schedule

As the temperature begins to rise in Hanover, so does student traffic in the Club Sports office. Several of the student-run club sport teams are deep into their planning for their respective national championships. This academic year, eleven teams have either already competed or are headed out within the next few weeks to venues across the country. While the confirmed are listed below, there are a few more anticipated to qualify in the coming months.

Dartmouth Figure Skating Club places 5th at Nationals

After a season of hard work and development, the Dartmouth Figure Skating Club achieved 5th place at the 2023 National Intercollegiate Final hosted by UCLA. The competition took place from April 13th to 15th with 16 collegiate teams competing for the title. The Dartmouth team's journey in qualifying for Nationals included placing third in the Northeast Intercollegiate Classic in Utica, New York on March 12 as well as participating in events hosted by MIT and NYU.

Dartmouth Club Fencing places 11th Overall at Collegiate Nationals
April 24, 2023

On April 1-2, 2023, Dartmouth Club's Fencing team competed at the United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Club Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Held at the Plassman Athletic Center, the tournament featured over 60 collegiate teams from across the nation. The Dartmouth team secured 11th place overall, with the women's team coming in 10th place and the men's team taking 11th. Led by captains Jasmine Li '23 and William Dinauer '23, the teams competed in Epee and Foil and Sabre competitions. Each team featured three starters and one alternate.
