Dartmouth Club Fencing places 11th Overall at Collegiate Nationals 

On April 1-2, 2023, Dartmouth Club's Fencing team competed at the United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Club Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Held at the Plassman Athletic Center, the tournament featured over 60 collegiate teams from across the nation.  The Dartmouth team secured 11th place overall, with the women's team coming in 10th place and the men's team taking 11th. Led by captains Jasmine Li '23 and William Dinauer '23, the teams competed in Epee and Foil and Sabre competitions. Each team featured three starters and one alternate. Additionally, in preparation for the tournament, the team participated in a three training day camp over spring break in Hanover, coached by Dartmouth alumni.  

On day two of the tournament, the Dartmouth team truly shined despite technical difficulties and delays that impacted the schedule throughout the day. Gracie Kim '25 and Sonia Meytin '26 both received medals, with Gracie winning second place in the Women's Foil and Sonia placing 7th in Women's Sabre. Gracie describes her time at nationals saying, "It was a really great experience. I feel as though we really bonded as a group, and we all learned a lot from the competition. Especially some of the freshmen who have never fenced before college, it was a really great learning opportunity for them to experience fencing really strong fencers."

 Other notable individual accomplishments include William Dinauer placing 19th in Senior Men's Saber, Julia Lin '25 placing 9th in Senior Women's Epee, Stacey Valerie '26 and Jasmine Li placing 19th and 20th prospectively in Senior Women's Foil, and Sophia Meytin and Ashley Xie '24 placing 7th and 10th Senior Women's Saber.
